The Whale Research Institute is building the world’s first wireless data acquisition “Whale Buoy Network” designed to acquire sub-sonic, sonic and ultra-sonic wave phenomena data with 360º buoy surface views using high definition imaging cameras - streaming sound, image and wave data content from each buoy, live, worldwide, over the Internet, 24/7, 365 days a year.
The Whale Research Institute is dedicated to the design, engineering, manufacturing and worldwide deployment of advanced, application specific, marine scientific instruments utilizing new technologies, for applications in whale,
dolphin, cetacean and marine biology research, oceanography, navigation, marine life safety, environmental monitoring and related disciplines, ushering in a new era for 21st. Century marine research, worldwide.
Through advances in scientific marine research instrument design and engineering, The Whale Research Institute works to greatly broaden the spectrum & resolution of data acquisition in marine scientific research instrumentation, as well as provide live delivery time of this vital data, via wireless data tunnel and satellite interfaces, worldwide, over the Internet, to the general public, international maritime interests, Universities and research institutions.
